Personal Information

My primary research interests are in the area of Network Security. Since January 2017 I am a member of the Decentralized Systems and Network Services Research Group, led by Professor Hartenstein. As a PhD candidate I am developing my dissertation topic, focusing on Network Security Monitoring (NSM). Furthermore, I am concerned with secure data sharing and related questions regarding access control.

After receiving a Bachelor's degree from TU Dortmund, I graduated at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), majoring in telematics (distributed systems) as well as software engineering and compiler design. During my studies I received the opportunity to work as a Technical Student in the security team of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) for one semester. In this context my interest in Network Security Monitoring (NSM) awoke, so that I concluded my graduate studies with a corresponding thesis.
