Hannes Hartenstein

was appointed to the chair of "Decentralized Systems and Network Services" (DSN) in October 2003 and has since headed the DSN research group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly Universität Karlsruhe (TH)). Hannes Hartenstein was Executive Director of the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) from October 2010 to September 2013, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science from October 2015 to March 2017, and Authorized Representative for Information Processing and Provision (IV-B) of KIT from April 2017 to April 2020. He is Principal Investigator in KASTEL.
